Charity Burgundy Wine Tasting – 21st February 2024
Liveryman John Markham kindly sponsored the annual Charity Wine Tasting at the Hall on the 21st February.
John tutored those who attended through a delicious selection of wines from the region including wines from Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne Montrachet and Meursault along with red wines from prestigious vineyards in Burgundy.

The tasting was followed by a splendid finger buffet and cheese board, provided by our new Caterers, Suzanne James Catering & Event Management.

The event has raised over £2,500 for the Wax Chandlers Charitable Trust. In addition to John, our thanks go to Liveryman Alison Green and Stanley Liu for their parts in organising the event.
Due to the success of the event, the Company is planning to hold a further 2 wine tastings in 2025 and dates will follow shortly on the Events Diary on the members section of the website.
